Sea‑Band offers a range of acupressure wristbands and ginger-based oral products designed to alleviate nausea caused by motion, pregnancy, medications and even chemotherapy.
We reviewed the wristbands for morning sickness and travel sickness.
And I have to admit, I was sceptical at the start as it all seemed a little too basic, a bit too good to be true; gentle pressure applied to the Nei‑Kuan point on your wrist to provide immediate, natural relief with no drugs, no downtime and no side effects.

Where is the Nei-Kuan Pressure Point That Prevents Nausea?
Generally, it is three fingers up from the wrist, this is the perfect placement for many people.
However, everyone varies on where the best positioning of the wristband is placed for optimal results.

THE RESULTS: WHAT WE LOVE
Scientifically Backed & Clinically Endorsed
What they say:
“Studies show significant reductions in nausea, particularly during pregnancy, making Sea‑Band a trusted non-invasive solution.”
What we say:
“They aren’t wrong. While my morning sickness didn’t totally disappear, the triggers and that constant nauseous feeling certainly were alleviated. It made day-to-day activities so much easier and I definitely felt much more me again.”
Safe & Reusable
The bands are drug-free, non-drowsy, and washable—perfect for daily use from age 3 to adult. This also made the childrens range for my son perfect. He suffered with motion sickness in the car and refused to take tablets.
On our first long car journey to Cornwall (approximately 6 hours usually), we managed to do it in four because we weren’t constantly stopping due to nausea. Absolute win!
They genuinely were a game changer for family days out and holidays, making life so much easier and less stressful for him—and us…
Versatile Product Range
Beyond adult and child wristbands, Sea Band offers XL bands, Mum-specific designs, and ginger gum, lozenges, and capsules. The Mama Line even includes folic acid-infused gum and essential-oil rollers which make them perfect for pregnancy and beyond.
Affordable & Accessible
Packs range from around £15 as well as value and family bundles like Adult, Child, and Travel Kits. When you consider the cost of travel sickness tablets these days, that’s an incredibly fair price seeing as they are reusable and available online and in most reputable pharmacies.

HOW TO MAXIMISE RESULTS WITH SEA-BAND
- Wear them before symptoms begin.
For my morning sickness I wore them most of the day but removed at night and wore again early morning before I got out of bed.
For my sons motion sickness, he wore them (ideally) around 10 minutes before we planned to start the journey. - Ensure accurate positioning.
Obviously they are designed to be worn directly over the Nei‑Kuan pressure point but this will be trial and error for each person and deciding what works best for you.
For me, it was 1cm from my wrist. For my son, it was 3cm.
That’s the placement we found the most effective, however, everyone is different and it’s worth trying different placements for optimal results. - Keep them snug.
You don’t want them too tight, or too loose. Essentially, they should be comfortable yet firm. And make sure you wash them regularly.
I always handwashed them to prevent damage in the washing machine due to the plastic pressure point. - Pair with other natural remedies (like Sea Band range of ginger products) if symptoms persist.
